The LPU Entrance & Scholarship Test 2027, commonly known as LPUNEST, is conducted by Lovely Professional University.
The test has a two-fold purpose for applicable programmes:

The exact importance of LPUNEST depends on the programme selected by the candidate.

For several B.Tech programmes, LPU currently specifies 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 along with required subjects such as Physics, Mathematics and English, depending on the programme.
For UG Design, the current LPU criteria include Class 12 eligibility and programme-specific requirements; for B.Sc. Design and B.Design, LPU currently lists 50% aggregate with English, subject to the applicable entrance criteria.
Therefore, there is no single eligibility percentage applicable to every LPU course.

- Remote-proctored online examination from home
- Test-centre-based examination
LPU’s undergraduate and B.Tech pages currently mention both options, with remote-proctored examination from home recommended by the university subject to available resources.
Candidates should carefully read the examination guidelines before choosing their test mode.
LPUNEST 2027 Exam Pattern
One of the most important things students should understand is that LPUNEST does not necessarily have one identical exam pattern for every programme.
The pattern can vary according to the course.
For example, the currently published B.Tech LPUNEST pattern uses a subject-based structure covering areas such as:
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Mathematics
- English
Biology may be available instead of Mathematics for applicable combinations.
The current B.Tech information specifies a 150-minute examination and 25 questions per listed subject in the stated pattern.
For law, the structure is different and can include areas such as:
- English
- Quantitative & Logical Aptitude
- Legal Reasoning
- General Awareness
The current law information lists a 90-minute test.
Therefore:
Do not prepare for LPUNEST 2027 using a generic pattern.
Always check the syllabus and pattern for your particular programme.
LPUNEST 2027 Syllabus
The LPU Entrance & Scholarship Test 2027 syllabus depends on the selected course.
For B.Tech Aspirants
Preparation can involve:
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Mathematics
- English
- Biology, where applicable
Students should concentrate on Class 11 and Class 12 concepts relevant to their selected programme and the latest LPU syllabus.
For Law Aspirants
Preparation may involve:
- English
- Quantitative Aptitude
- Logical Reasoning
- Legal Reasoning
- General Awareness
For Other Courses
The syllabus and selection process may be different.
Therefore, students should first identify their programme and then download/check the relevant LPUNEST syllabus.
LPU Scholarship Through LPUNEST 2027
One of the biggest attractions of the LPU Entrance & Scholarship Test 2027 is scholarship consideration.
LPU provides scholarships through multiple categories. LPUNEST performance is one of the routes, while scholarships may also be available based on other qualifications and achievements.
LPU’s published scholarship information lists categories based on:
- LPUNEST performance
- Class 12/qualifying examination performance
- Previous qualification
- National-level entrance examinations
- Sports
- Cultural activities
- Research and development
- Other specified achievements and categories
LPU also lists national-level examinations such as CUET, JEE Main, NEET, NATA, CAT, XAT, MAT, CMAT, GATE and GPAT for scholarship consideration for applicable programmes.
LPU Scholarship 2027 Based on LPUNEST Score
Scholarship slabs can depend on the programme and admission phase.
For example, LPU’s current B.Tech information lists tentative scholarship cut-offs for one category structure:
| Scholarship Category | Current Tentative Cut-off |
|---|---|
| Category A | 300 / 400 |
| Category B | 212 / 400 |
| Category C | 150 / 400 |
These are not universal 2027 scholarship guarantees. LPU explicitly notes that tentative cut-offs can vary according to applicant performance and admission conditions.
This is why students should target the highest possible LPUNEST score instead of preparing only to cross the minimum level.
Can You Get Scholarship Without LPUNEST?
In some cases, yes.
LPU offers scholarship opportunities through several categories besides LPUNEST.
For example, LPU’s current scholarship information includes national-level entrance examinations such as CUET and JEE Main, with eligibility depending on the programme.
Other scholarship/financial-aid categories can include:
- Academic performance
- Sports achievements
- Cultural achievements
- Research and innovation
- Defence-related categories
- Need-based financial aid
- Other university-specific scholarship schemes
Therefore, students should compare all available scholarship routes before deciding how to apply.
LPU Admission 2027 Process
The admission process depends on the selected programme.
A general process is:
Registration → Programme Selection → LPUNEST/Application → Exam → Result → Counselling/Interview, if applicable → Seat Allocation → Document Verification → Fee Payment → Admission
For B.Tech, LPU’s current admission process includes:
- Signup
- Apply for LPUNEST
- Book exam slot
- Appear for exam
- Result and online counselling/seat allotment
